The Tour in My Voice

Escape the ordinary and explore Tromsø’s untamed coastline in comfort and at your pace. This fjord adventure is a thoughtfully designed experience for travellers who value authenticity, depth, and space to connect with nature, with stories, and with people from the region.

We begin the day with a pick-up at your hotel or pre-planned pick-up spot, stepping into a warm, 8 seat, 4x4 Mercedes ready for Arctic roads. From there, we start the drive on winding coastal roads through stunning landscapes, where old historic farms meet the open sea, and snowy peaks glisten in the light across the ocean.

Along the way, I’ll guide you to some of the region’s most beautiful and lesser-known viewpoints, places I grew up exploring. Depending on the season, we may spot reindeer, sea eagles, or even a otter. I’ll share local stories, personal memories, and the rich natural and cultural history that shapes life in this part of Norway. I make sure that the stops are varied and fitting for the mood of the day.

We’ll enjoy a long stop at the island of Sommarøya, where lunch will be served with a view that’s hard to describe but impossible to forget. Here you will be served a sandwich made by a family company, which only use local ingredients and Norwegian bread. There’s time to wander, relax, and simply take in the stillness of the Arctic (also a very fun destination in BAD weather!).

The return goes in through the dramatic fjords, where cliffs fall straight in to the ocen and small fishing villages have found their place. The pace of the tour leaves room for spontaneous photo stops and small walks to take in the fresh air. Throughout the day, on request I’ll be capturing moments on camera so you can stay present and take home lasting memories.

What makes this experience different is the care behind it. Every detail is considered. Every guest is welcomed as a friend. This is a personal experience, guided by someone who knows these landscapes intimately and wants you to feel the same connection by the end of the day.

Itinerary

Pickup in Tromsø – 09:00
Your guide collects you at your hotel or custom pick-up location. After ensuring you’re equipped for the day, we set off in a warm, 8-seat 4×4 Mercedes.

Scenic Drive & Storytelling
We travel along winding coastal roads and into dramatic fjords. With approx. 2 hours and 10 minutes of driving spread throughout the day, most of the time is spent exploring, stopping at hidden viewpoints, cultural landmarks, and seasonal wildlife spots.

Lunch with a View
A long stop at Sommarøy, or a similarly stunning spot, for a high-quality lunch. Sandwiches are prepared by a family-run company using local ingredients and Norwegian bread. Hot drinks and snacks are served throughout the day.

Flexible Exploration & Photography
Stops are chosen based on season, weather, and your interests. Expect time to wander, breathe in the Arctic air, or capture photographs. On request, your guide will take candid and scenic photos for you.

Return to Tromsø ~15:30

• Weather: The Arctic coastline is dramatic in all conditions - both calm days and storms can be equally memorable(I prefer the stormy days)

Good To Know

Lunch is always freshly prepared with local produce; dietary preferences can be accommodated with advance notice.

The Mercedes 4×4 ensures both comfort and safety on Arctic winter roads.

Stops are flexible if you see something you’d like to photograph or explore, we can adjust.

Bad weather days often make the experience even more dramatic and rewarding.

Families and children are welcome on this tour.

We know plans can change, and the Arctic weather can surprise us! Here’s what you need to know when booking with Rise Adventures:

🌍 Cancellations by you


Cancel 7 days or more before your tour → full refund.

Cancel between 7 days and 48 hours → 50% refund.

Cancel less than 48 hours before → no refund.

🌦 Cancellations by us (weather & safety)

Your safety always comes first. If we need to cancel due to unsafe weather or unexpected events, you’ll get a full refund or the chance to reschedule.

🔄 Rescheduling

You can move your booking to a new date free of charge, as long as you let us know at least 48 hours before the tour.

🗺 Tour adjustments

Seasons and weather shape our adventures. Sometimes, your guide may adjust the itinerary to make sure you still get the best and safest experience. This is part of the Arctic journey and does not qualify for refunds.

💳 Refunds

If you’re due a refund, we’ll process it within 10 business days back to your original payment method.
